Fun with static

Clearly we are here for our parent's amusement. We've discussed it, and we're not sure how we feel about that. I guess they are due a few laughs at our expense given the sleepless nights we deliver.

Birthday madness

It's my day! Four years old. It was an Ariel them, of course. My friends from school and Ms Becca's celebrated the day with me. It was a good day. Thanks for sharing the day with me.

Christmas morning

Christmas for us takes a little bit of pacing. Between three sets of grandparents and the parents, it doesn't take much to get overwhelmed. But we are figuring it out. And if we haven't, we are both committed to trying again each year.

Moments with Mom

Photos are not our thing. Mom is usually blinking. Maeve needs to be bribed with toys and chocolate to have her picture taken. At this point, I'm into it. You can take my picture all day long. Dad was good on these pics. Definitely some stealth maneuvering going on.

Dressed for Christmas

We dressed up, we smiled, can we have a treat now or some presents? How much does a kid have to do around here?

My first name IS Mary by the way

So yes, I go by Maeve, but I can play the part. Doesn't my frog have some resemblance to baby Jesus? And the manger is a baking pan lined with drink coasters. Hey, if the original Mary can improvise, so can I.

I can be helpful

Need me to ice a cake? I'm all over it. I'm an expert in fact. Just sit back and relax. I'll be done in just a few minutes.

Dad's birthday & chocolate bliss

Chocolate is so good. We sense a warm haze descending on us. Wish Dad had a birthday every day!

Making faces

Nothing beats sticking your tongue out. Just a perfect expression of defiance and cuteness. Better get away with it while we can.

Snuggles

It doesn't get much better than this. Snuggling with Mom and Dad.

Welcome to Ms. Maeve's salon.

What can I do for you today? A trim? Some color? Legos make the best pair of scissors. And shavers. Dad! You have such a hair neck. We'll just let this color set. Enjoy your People magazine. I'll be back in 30 minutes.

Halloween

Will stayed home to hand out candy while Dad and I went trick or treating. You can also see that Will kept a very keen eye on the pumpkin. Very diligent Bubby. Trick or treating can really wear you out. I asked Dad to carry me home. He mumbled something about being the farthest point from home in the neighborhood. He's a good sport. I think I will keep him.

Who needs fancy toys

Costco boxes are the best. They come in all sizes and shapes. This was just right for us. No fighting about crossing sides. We are pretending to be on a rocket ship. Stuffed animals...check. We are ready to go.

Pumpkin carving

Nothing more fun than getting your hands dirty from the insides of a pumpkin. Quite a tactile event. Dad did a good job. I had to point out the inside bits that he missed. Even Will was a good helper by keeping and eye on the stem.

Embarassing phone #138

Sigh...I really wish that whole digital thing hadn't happened. Now parents just snap away with the camera. And everything is caught on film. This is just no good. I wonder if a magnet just a little too close to the computer would do the trick.

Think I can outrun the police?

We met up with our friends at a local fundraising event. They bring in all kinds of vehicles and equipment. Will just got out of the police car. Hopefully he was inspired to be in the front and not in the back. My favorite was the school bus.
