Kings Dominion family day #2

Cora was nice enough to have a little brother, Isaac, for me to play with. I think we will be buds in the future, but we're still sizing up each other now. Dad said flying aces planes were one of his favorites as a young lad. Glad I could help him relive the memories.

Kings Dominion family day #1

Dad's company is very generous in hosting a family day at Kings Dominion. My bff Cora came down to meet me. Good times. Our dads put us in the bumper car only to realize we didn't know how to drive them. After a quick tutorial we were straight. Though a little dizzy from going around and around in circles.

Fun with food

Normally playing food is a major no-no at the table. Talk about something that will get Dad fired up in about a 1/2 second. But he was tolerant of this. Probably because I'm showing great appreciation of his yummy homemade blueberry peach jam. Much more flair than a milk mustache. I also developed a case of raspberry finger. It's not my fault they have holes in them that are just the right size for a 3 year old finger.

Little Potato Heads

We're kids on the 2000's. A lame Mr. Potato Head with 5 or 6 parts doesn't work for us. Now it is a family of Potato Heads with 40 or 50 pieces. Dad does the best potatoes. He likes to put the biggest eyes and ears on the "kid" potatoes. Daddy is so silly. This is Will and I showing off how the pieces look on us. Don't I look bu-t-full with earrings?

Will, you push the pedals and I will drive

We spend so much time in the car going from here to there so it was quite a treat to explore the cabin. Of course the best fun is touching all the buttons and knobs. Dad definitely needs the air conditioning on full blast when he gets in next. He also needs to listen to NPR at a loud volume as well.

Ms Hannah!!!

Ms. Hannah was our super awesome sitter this summer. We did our best to wear her out, but she hung in there with us. She had to go back to school to finish her senior year at Virginia Tech. This is our happy reunion with her after a football game.

Football season is coming

The first football game is still a week or two off, but I thought I'd practice with my Hokie outfit. How do I look?

Close encounter with a rocking chair

Don't worry, it looks worse than it fells. There was a little incident at the church nursery with a rocking chair rail. I think the nursery minders were more upset than I was. After a second opinion, the doctor passed on stitches. If I were a little older, I probably would have played this up and got a few extra desserts out of it.

Will, let me show you a couple of things

As a big sister, it is my job to teach Will things. He knows how to each, but I'm just giving him a refresher. I also thought it would be a good time to introduce him to silly faces. He's a good kid. I'm just doing my part to make sure he's ready for all the challenges in this world.

Summer also = sprinklers

Just in case you are wondering, Maeve is going through a phase where she doesn't want her picture taken. Summer also means playing in water. Not just a little bit. You have to get soaked all the way through. Of course, then there is the embarrassment of being stripped down and changed before coming inside. The peril is worth it.

Summer = popsicles

I'm still experiencing lots of new things. This was a particularly good one, popsicles! Sweet and yummy, but cold at the same time. I'm probably experiencing a brain freeze, but just don't know it. It's tough not having words.

Luke and Leia Skywalker...not so much

We are still working on our Jedi skills. I think Will is a bit farther along, but don't tell him that. Have to give Mom and Dad credit. They knew to buy two light sabers so we wouldn't fight over them.
